Alexa Mini Cage

I've yet to get my hands on an Alexa Mini however I'm sure it won't be too long. All the camera houses are beginning to get them in and I'm really looking forward to it.

Whether I'm flying one on Steadicam or the Ronin it's sure to be a godsend in terms of weight.

The same Alexa look we all know and love in a tiny little gift wrapped box the size of an Epic, awesome.

After doing some research into what connections and connectors the camera comes with I came across this beauty, a Tilta cage, one that the company is so proud of it comes with a 10 year guarantee.

I've a Tilta cage for my Sony A7s and it is excellent and the build quality is bomb proof so I'd have no objections to putting this around my Alexa if I was to get one. (Cough cough, it's my birthday in a few days)

It seems extremely modular like all Tilta products however the options you can get with this cage are fantastic. Side mountable battery plates, conversion connectors, multiple power outs and wireless focus modules. It really looks great and, my real point here is, it's going to be perfect for all us steadicam and gimbal operators in terms of condensing the package down into a perfectly weighted cube.

I looking forward to flying one very soon.....
